Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of 16she already been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film), was critically and highly rated commercially. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Through the years, Alexandra has worked in several important international and national productions. A few of them include the British biographical film Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, and French historical miniseries Napoleon. She also remained member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
